Context
To promote Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, Zepto embedded a video widget directly into the shopping flow. Styled to match the app’s dark theme, the widget played the movie trailer natively — complete with pause, play, mute, and seek controls.
Unlike pop-ups or interstitials, the trailer played inline, making it feel like part of the browsing experience. The widget sat naturally within the scroll, ensuring users encountered it without friction.
Why this works?
Video ads typically interrupt. Zepto’s approach made the trailer feel native, look premium, and respect user control. By embedding a rich media unit with full playback functionality, Zepto boosted brand visibility while preserving trust and app fluidity.
This format is perfect for entertainment partnerships and brand-led storytelling — delivering ad impact without ad fatigue.
